A few of the 4,300 marble statues on the facade of the duomo of Milano

Our living room in our apartment of the third floor of the mission office

Our bathroom, with Myrna holding the drier as it spins, we're working to level it

The office we share in the mission office, extra chair is for my trainer

Bathroom in mission office, showing bidet, to the right

Outside of mission office our apartment is on the third floor, we have an elevator but try to get exercise using the marble stairs

Our car parked in front of the city cemetery, across the street is a church built in the 1400s

We buy this bread on about a daily basis, it is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and is hard as a rock after 3 days, then we grate it on a cheese grater and use it for breadcrumbs to bread meat we fry in butter or olive oil.  The 2 foot long loaf of bread costs .59 euros, or about 65 cents

One of the 3 LDS churches in Milano, there are two Milano stakes

The Salatino couple, school teachers from California, who arrived about 4 months before we did and were our tour directors on P day on Saturday, they work with Young Single adults in Milano and teach institute

Garibaldi on horse in duomo plaza, he is the Washington of Italy, which was just  consolidated in late 1800s.

We took new missionaries here to the Duomo on their first day in Italy, it was a good introduction to missionary work for them to practice their Italian language skills, from the MTC, to be able to say this is my first day in Italy, do you want to hear about my church.

Altar from the side, notice there is no room behind the altar, but from the front the cieling looks like the room is longer

Life size statues from that church, they are very realistic, hope you can enlarge them to see the expressions

One of liiterally hundreds of Madonnas with child, this was the most famous scene for artists in the 14 and 1500s, during Leonardo's time,  he painted several, they are still very brilliant

Myrna with bust of Leonardo on museum with his works , including his pages of notes for making flyinging machines, etc.  He wrote in mirror images,

Anaizno e Sorella Hoopes with lunch

John standing near door of duomo, to show how large it is, next pix shows on the bronze figures  he was holding

Bronze, about 2 feet high, pilgrims hold Jesus' knee for pictures

Gallteria across from Duomo, world's oldest shopping mall

John with heel on  bulls rear end, twisting for good lucj

Nearby church,, which has lots of human skulls and bones for decorations, I suppose these poor souls died during a plague or something

Closeup of bones, it was pretty dark in there and camera shook, it was also somewhat creepy

Organ in above church, unfortuantley it also needs repairs

Another organ in church not 30 feet from the first church, this one also does not play, but is where the nun was teaching the girls to play the guitar, which is what they use to accompany singing at mass these days.  I have yet to find a church with a functional pipe organ I can play, but I am still looking,
